In May 2009, we had the privilege of attending the Big Island Film Festival in Waikoloa Beach, Hawaii. Michael's short film, which he completed in 2007, "A Final Dance", was selected to be shown at the Festival. I just couldn't let him miss the experience of his first film festival, so we found some reasonably priced tickets and a great rate at a vacation condo, and headed to Hawaii. This was our first time in the islands, so we had the added bonus of a vacation! If you want to know more about the festival, and his beautiful film (only 6 minutes), you can check it out on myspace or youtube, where you can watch it in it's entirety and leave your comments. http://www.myspace.com/afinaldancemovie OR look up "A Final Dance Short" on Youtube.
Sadly, we had temporarily lost our camera during our trip to Hawaii. If we had had it, you would now see photos of us at the beautiful white sand Hapuna Beach, of us snorkeling in the amazing coral reefs at the Captain Cook Monument, and us enjoying a beautiful ocean front Luau under the light of the full moon. We do have a few photos from the film festival itself, thanks to the professional photographer who documented the event. We hope to get back to Hawaii someday, and see more of her treasures!
